Changing LibreOffice’s File Dialog

Not a long time ago, I prefer WPS Office to LibreOffice, since I was used to Microsoft Office-like ribbon interface than traditional menus. But now, to stay true to my use of open-source software, I switched to LibreOffice.

(I’m excited for LibreOffice 5.3’s experimental ribbon interface. Some habits are hard to kick.)

So far so good, but LibreOffice’s file dialog sucks. It takes time to move to other folders, and GTK bookmarks (which I use a lot) are nowhere to be seen.

I can’t find the fix on the internet, but it’s easy. To use the more familiar GTK file dialog, go to Tools>Options>LibreOffice>General, and untick ‘Use LibreOffice dialogs’.
